I think, from an actual value part, you're not wrong, but from a Philly spot, you've basically got a long term goaltender, with a ton of control left, and he's only 23. I mean, I'd have to be drastically overpaid to move him. A couple of late 1sts likely never replace Hart, and I don't know that Robertson would be a particular need at this point.

I think he can be the Leafs long term goalie of the future, philly has had a very toxic environment for a young goalie for the past two years. Have a tandem of something like hart and raanta and run that.

Provorov (severe regression) - Attard (young AHL dman, middle of the line d prospect, still raw)
Hogberg (young AHL dman with little upside) - Sanheim
Yandle (worst defenseman in the NHL) - Zamula (raw AHL dman but has lots of upside)

Hart has been crap on the NHL level. This is too much to pay for him. Replace one of the 1st with Mrazek and then I’d consider it.

Sounds like Campbell is gone. He's looking for a retirement contract. I can't see Dubas paying it. Campbell's agent is Kurt Overhardt. He doesn't do discounts.

By the post suggestedt....he had 3.9m Hart and 3.8m Mrzarek on the team. A total of 7.7m. I would rather have 5.5m Campbell, 750,000 Kallgren and 1m buyout of Mrzarek off 7.25m and keep the picks.

But I agree with you, Leafs can't afford Campbell, unless they trade away with no cap coming back Nylander. But that idea has met so much derision from CF Leaf followings, who think Nylander is untouchable and Campbell with a discount for the love the Leafs.....yeah right.

I think Nylander should be traded. Not given away mind you. But Dubie has to get away from his "shiny toy syndrome." Trading Willie can address other needs on the team.

campbell will get market value theres what 3 starting caliber goalies in free agency right now? i have campbell at a markstrom esq contract. something like 5.5-6 x 6. someone might get desperate and reach for 6.5 but thats an overpay tbh.

leafs wont have a difficult time getting the cap for campbell, sandin, etc. someone will take on mrazek for a pick. there will be plenty of space. the only problem is depth is going to be tough. youll need robertson to produce. or find another bunting.

Leafs can open up cap space to sign Campbell. But I don't think they want to pay him Markstrom money. JC will get his money in UFA. Ullmark got 5 mil from Boston last summer.
