Kings say no. Muzzin also doesn’t likely waive to LA.

TBH it would probs be the only place he'd waive to. Muzz provides LHD help needed in LAK as there's a log jam at RHD when and if Sean Walker comes back. Y'all can run:

Muzz-Doughty
Anderson-Walker
Bjornfot-Durzi

Solid, fast, mobile and modern defence, while Toronto gets a new defence partner for Rielly as Sandin and Liljegren are ready to be full time NHLers and elevate Toronto defensive depth

Connor Ingram is a goalie that will probably breakout in 2023. He was a monster vs Colorado and the only reason every game was like 10-2 for Colorado

Why not buy out Mrazek? The 2nd is what it would cost if you did need to move his cap from our POV.

I mean we can but it’s smarter to get it completely off the books. The Kessel retention really screwed us and having to have a buyout for Mrazek would be nuisance not needed

Muzzin has lost a step, and him and Doughty were never primary partners his entire time here. Kings can reup Edler or trade for Chychrun but I don’t see them paying younger assets to get older after a rebuild.

Los Angeles isn't interested in this effort to shed significant cap.

Absolutely no interest in installing Jake Muzzin 2.0 even if he would waive his NTC, plus we could re-sign Alex Edler for less than Jake's cap hit, and we would probably get the same results without having to expend assets to re-acquire Muzz. Will you Toronto guys please stop doing this? It's like the Montreal guys with their silly Jeff-Petry-to-Detroit trades. And the idea that we would trade Matt Roy for him is simply cuckoo.

Ingram had one start where he put up a .961. His next two starts were .854 and .892. I like the dude and hope he has a good career but lmao at him as a 1G

Muzz didn’t lose a step lol. He was one our best defenders against Tampa and played through an injury. Plus where does Roy play now with Walker returning, Doughty and Durzi being there in the right side.

Furthermore Edler doesn’t provide defensive stability like Muzz does. That’s blasphemy comparing Edler to Muzz who’s been far better.

Lol watch when he does breakout. Everyone said the same about Campbell. Goalies are voodoo. Case and point Bob.

Edler had a fantastic season and Muzzin was super banged up most of this season. Comparing them is actually not so far off.

Edler, 41 games, 3 goals, 19 points, +18, 52.1 Corsi, 54.4 Fenwick
Muzzin, 47 games, 3 goals, 14 points, -6 , 48.1 Corsi, 47.9 Fenwick.

He might, but that probably should not be Plan A when you’re a team desperately trying to maximize the prime years of your core.

You have no idea what you're talking about. My friend @tryger has the actual numbers for you. And Edler would cost half as much as Muzzin (maybe less).

By the way, (1) Roy plays ahead of Walker, and (2) Walker won't return until December.
