Jonathan Huberdeau has a NMC, he's not waiving for Ottawa.

And sorry that doesn't get you Jakob Chychrun not even close.

The NMC becomes a M-NTC this offseason. There is a list of 8 teams he can’t be traded to based on it (not certain which teams), but rest of league is fair game.

MTL would offer way more for Huberdeau. How about 2022 1st overall?

I'd do this in a heartbeat

Ottawa can afford to move picks. Moving JBD hurts but it's for Huberdeau and they have some other promising RDs

Huberdeau - Stutzle - Batherson
Tkachuk - Norris - Brown
Formenton - Pinto - Joseph
Kelly - Kastelic - Watson

Chabot - Thomson
Sanderson - Zub
Brannstrom - Hamonic

I'd even add a good prospect like Jarventie and/or a 2nd if necessary

Maybe Huberdeau wouldn't want to leave Florida but this team certainly has a lot of potential (several guys not listed here, like Greig for example)

Quoting: LIRIK

What would be the "way more"?

7th OA pick in 2022 + 1st round pick in 2023 + Bernard-Docker > Shane Wright

Since i think Bernard-Docker is a bust, i would say Wright > 2022 7th OA + 2023 1st.

But MTL could add another 1st to Wright if necessary.

ok, first time I ever read something like this about JBD. I often have no idea where people pull their takes from so I'd be curious to hear why

There's a point in his AHL rookie season when he was not even on the ice for an Even Strength goal against for like 2 months. Don't remember if it was this exact stat, but something ridiculous like that.

This is what Mann had to say in an exit interview (paraphrased) :

Thinks JBD could use another 35 games in the AHL before he makes the jump. Would rather prospects be overripe than not quite ready. Thought JBD's growth this season has been tremendous. JBD told Mann that he underestimated how good the AHL would be. Was great on the PK, would be on the ice defending 1-goal leads. Was on a shutdown pair with Heatherington. Slowly developing into a stay-at-home guy who has room to grow on his break outs and puck moving ability. Really likes how he finished the season

Yeah, I could add more too like I said. IMO Montreal should not make that trade
