You could not be more wrong. Either Strome or Copp will be signed as 2C next year. Odds are it will be Copp. And, either way, Dvorak is not a 2C anyway. Rangers would pass either way.

What else is Arizona getting for taking Webers contract? If Montreal gets a 2nd Arizona better be getting a 1st or a top prospect.

They're gonna have about 10M cap space to sign Kakko, Gauthier, Blais and a 2nd goalie. Maybe even Motte and/or Vatrano if they want to keep them.

How are they gonna give Copp 5M+?

I know Dvorak is not the ideal 2C, but he will be traded to a team needing a cheap 2C. Might be NYR this summer.

They have the money to sign either Copp or Strome, guaranteed. 2C is too important not to sign. Guys like Gauthier and 4th line will only be signed if they have space and its very cheap. You also have to consider than Drury will most likely move some cap by trading Nemeth for sure and possibly Chytil.
