I think it's more likely Dumoulin goes at this point, but him or Pettersson should get a 2nd.

It should be Pettersson. Dumo had a rough year, but Letang plays best with him as his partner. I think he has potential to bounce back too, he's had a lot of injuries to recover from.

Would still prefer signing Brett Kulak over trading an asset, but Pettersson’s defensive analytics have been great since coming to Pittsburgh. Could be a solid fit on what will still be a pretty defensive minded team

I am hoping dumo can bounce back when healthy, I also thinks it would make it a lot more likely for letang to come back

Well, it's come out he's been dealing with injury issue, so we'll see. Given that he's a pending UFA and likely due a raise I think it's more likely he's gone.

I have to disagree on dumoulin getting a raise. He will be a 32 year old FA, and if he keeps dealing with injuries...

replace him with nylander then, I think one of those 2 will be able to make an impact. Worst case scenario neither are ready, you bump Erod up to the 3rd line and O'conner plays 4th line
