I agree, Spezza needs to go home to play his final days as a Sen. Help their young core and retire as a Sen.

you are high. andrew ladd didnt even get that much when he was dumped. also mraxek can be thrown onto ltir because hes injured. if the sharks are rebuilding. getting two picks and a prospect is a good return.
leafs traded ritchie and a second and got a top 4 D man back.

San Jose already had 3 goalies for next year (Reimer/Kahkonen/Adin Hill) - why are they acquiring a 4th?

Vegas is in cap hell, no way they take on Jake Muzzin at any cost. I don't think there are many teams willing to put up a 2nd rounder for him when there younger & cheaper options available in trade (also don't forget Muzzin has a full NTC.)

Holl & Kerfoot values are fine. I could see the Ducks biting on that deal, but I'd be extremely wary of trying to make a cup run with a goalie that has 62 career starts to his name at 27 years old. If you're going to make that move, I think you need a better backup situation than what you have hear - take some of that cap you spent on Comrie and get a veteran who can step up just in case.

Also I think you're lowballing Lyubushkin here - why would he sign on for the exact same salary after he had, by all accounts, a fine season? Same with Nick Paul - I can't see him only getting a 2x$2.05M deal this summer after how good he has played for Tampa.

Two late 3rd and some random dude you think is a fair trade to dump $7.6 mil over two years? Marleau was $6.25 mil cap dump and was dumped for a 1st. You are significantly low balling here.

I guess he retires just 5 points away from 1'000, that's too bad, Dubas should not bring him back.

its 3.8 a year. marleau was traded with over 6 million per. Ladd went with 5.3 for a 2nd and a third to a team that was rebuilding. to get two thirds and a prospect ion a rebuilding team is fair

even if they brought him back for one game at league min then threw him on ltir when he retires would be a nice touch

Ladd went to a team that needed contracts and cap to hit the floor. Marleau had one year left at $6.25 mil. Mrazek has more cap left and the sharks have zero need to take on contracts or more cap. You want them to take him you have to pay a fair price not a discount to a team with cap issues and 3 goaltenders already. You can make it worth it or keep your own terrible contracts

Just what Vegas needs....more cap. More fantasy about Muzzin being traded. I like Kerfoot but a non playoff team isn't giving up two picks for a on year rental.

No to Holl for me personally. He is not a good RHD. I'm sure there are better options than him.

My bet is he'll have a non player role lined up for next season in Toronto. I'd take him back in Ottawa, but he's where he wants to be.

Alfie is the guy the Sens need to mend fences with. He's the Ottawa guy to his core. It's already started in the wake of Melynk's passing, but they need to make that reunion official. Make him the AGM now so he's got the experience to take over when the new ownership comes in and fires everyone.

Muzzin is the latest leaf fantasy that his 5.6m will disappear to anyone they want to foist him onto

I literally just gave an example of someone with less cap going for a 1st. So no it’s not fair.
