Description
Obvious moves, no big splash, a summer like Sweeney likes them. I really hope that Bergeron comes back because if not, Sweeney is probably go out and get 2 medium players at a 3-3,5 millions cap hit. Let me know what you think about this. I don't know if Edmonton has the money but they surely were interested in Debrusk last year and Debrusk is from Edmonton so it would be a perfect fit for him. I dunno if the Oilers would be willing to give up their 1st this year, it will be around 25 so a late pick. I'd be also happy if we got a 2nd+, just get the deal done Jake deserve this to be over, he is such a great guy. For Reilly, he really is the odd man out, we can't afford to have 3 million bucks scratched every night. I see two possible destinations for him: LA and NYI, but LA seems the best choice for me.

Seems crazy they can move debrusk and Reilly and not have a penny to spend anywhere else.

No. Find a third party and maybe at 2.75.

Things that i don’t think are a thing:
1. Bergeron at a multi-year deal. Just no chance.
2. Debrusk for just an pick - i think they’re happy just keeping him.
3. Lysell in the top six.

You're right about Debrusk. Oilers don't have the money. They would need to move alot out. They want to sign Kane and they have a few RFAs to deal with. Maybe if Keith retired but can't see it.

You resign Bergeron with the money you just moved out

1- Bergeron getting a multi year isn't impossible, it's just unlikely
2- If Debrusk stays I will be really happy but I really think it's done. We need prospects so not so crazy to trade him for picks, plus if we trade him we likely will won't take back big money if we want to sign Bergy
3- Why not? It could be really benefitial for his developpement to play with two studs like Marchand and Bergeron. If it doesn't work then you just move it down to the 3rd or 4th line.

If Bergeron retires we might consider it but if not, we'll pass

Its just not a thing for bergeron. He clearly is in a situation where retirement is an option. Why are the bruins signing him for two years then? He decides he wants to retire a year from now, and the bruins are stuck with $6M dead cap.

So many people on this forum have Lysell playing in the NHL next year. I really doubt it happens until later in the season IF he gets some time in the AHL...maybe post TDL. Other popular fantasies: Bergeron signing for more than one year for more than 4mil, DeBrusk being traded for picks, Marchand and/or Pastrnak being traded if Bergeron doesn’t re-sign, Forbort being traded over Reilly, Gryzleck being traded for basically nothing (he was hurt, he didn’t forget how to play) Foligno being sent to a non-contending team and Ullmark being sent ANYWHERE!

Dude at this point you're just bugging on small things. Maybe he signs one year but he could also sign for two years if he feels like he can play.

Bergeron-Toews-Coyle is quite the 1,2,3 setup

Its not a small thing. The potential of $6M in dead cap is not a small thing in this era. Its 1 year or nothing.
