I’m sure that there would interest in a couple of players, however I don’t think that they would be moved just to dump Horny.

Joking aside, it will cost a pretty penny for the Cats to dump Horny. Plus, Detroit could just OS Eetu and get him for basically nothing since the Cats would be unable to match. At that point, who would the Cats move to dump Horny? It’s not like the Cats can really use draft capital to dump him with the myriad of strings attached combined with the lack of picks. It would have to be a prospect, more than like, or a quality roster player. And I think I know 2 players who would be at the top of everyone’s list. 2 players that Florida would consider untouchable. Doubt it comes to that, though.

I've seen fans of 13 teams making trades for him, but I don't know how much that translates to actual GMs

Honestly alot of people would be like "for veteran leader to lead the young guys". I see that all the time but they don't pay those guys 5+M for it. I think horny is a great guy and has had a good career but just a tough break for him in this situation. Gudas might need to be moved as well depending on what they plan to do. But back to horny, I don't think any team can justify paying a guy 5M+ without him either putting up 50+ points or being a selke winner.
