Ok If
you want actual stats that matter he had an G/60 of 2.94 while Konecny & tippet had 2.88 & 2.65 respectively, CA/60 Willy: 55.23 , CF/60 63.88. Konecny CF/60 60.05, CA/60 60.66, Tippett CF/60 62.33, CA/53.53. You act like these aren’t comparable numbers the only thing is Tippet gives up way less than Konecny but still more than Willy therefore Willy is the better player end of discussion(All stats were 5v5)
First off advanced stats aren't ACTUAL stats, that aside I wasn't saying Willy wasn't the better player, I was saying he is ONLY marginally better. You were the one acting like there was a HUGE gap between Konecny, Tippett and Nylander when in actuality you proved the gap is not that wide. Besides all that the Flyers had AV most of the year and he is just bad (not DD bad but still bad lol) after they replaced AV there was an up tick in everyone's stats for the Flyers, suggesting it was coaching and not the players that was the issue. Ignoring all of that, you look at each players stats and consider the team they play for and their position in the standings and this tells more of the story.
Nylander 80 point, CF/60 63.88, CA/60 55.23 on a top 5 team in the league
Konecny 52 points, CF/60 60.05, CA/60.66 on a bottom 5 team in the league
Tippett 21 points, CF/60 62.33 CA/60 53.53 again on a bottom 5 team in the league.
All this to say that Nylander is a good player there is no denying that but so are Konecny and Tippett and the gap from either to Nylander based on the stats you provided is not the other player. It is more like a Tippet + 2nd or late 1st or Konecny + 3rd given that he is a more established player who bounced back after the coaching change.
