That’s a solid package for pld, but I just don’t see the jets parting with him, unless it’s a full fire sale for picks and prospects, big enough fire sale to ship wheeler even. There would be nobody safe if they ship the young Center that basically the whole squad should be built upon. Would make the draft sure entertaining anyway.

If I was Ottawa I'd go hard at PLD or Scheiffle, need another center behind Norris to make playoffs.

Stu has looked damn near elite since he moved to C, he just needs skill and size with him. I'd imagine if you're making one of these 2 trades, the players OTT sends out would be a combo of the two

I don't think WPG should trade PLD, he's only 23 but it feels like he's been around so much longer. But from OTT perspective, thats the player you flip 7OA and prospects for. Maybe include Brown/White (if WPG even values him) but just getting feelers from Jets fans on this

The Jets aren't trading Dubois, he'd be part of the retool.

A lot will be decided on who the next coach is, veteran guy comes in and understands that he needs the veteran nucleus with a tweak or two. Coach comes in and productive conversation with scheifele and probably runs it back with a similar squad with a little bit of cap moved and changed for a cheap kid or two, and a cheap vet or two. Rookie skipper and all bets are off, might start with a scheifele and a veteran defenseman blockbuster of some sort. Pld has a decision to be made also, probably a 5/7 year extension waited to be signed, depending on cap room and his decision. If he gets dealt they might as well empty the shelf outside of perfetti, lucious, samberg.

Well, Norris is a very good center overall, but I feel like Stutzle is a good center too. I'm not sure which one I would put at centre.

Norris is a great player. Elite shooter, strong in faceoffs, he's a bonafide number 1 C in my opinion. When it comes to playing through the middle ice and creating offense its Tim Stützle and its not close. Timmy has the skill to completely take over a hockey game like nobody else on that roster. The only concern is the faceoffs, which first off is maybe the most teachable hockey skill there is, and second can be mitigated by giving him a Josh Norris type winger.
