its not signing rights. he signs a 2 year deal 5.25 a year in summer of 2022 and we trade him with one year left on the deal. rental for a team but instead of tdl its before the season

Lol, doubt Copp signs for a two-year term and even IF he did, you can bet it would come with a NTC. Otherwise, he'll just stroll off into free agency and find a better deal somewhere else.

I don't love the idea of parting with Lindgren (without him the Rangers have looked kinda lost this postseason) but I do think he plays the kind of game that causes regression (a la Callahan) so I think it makes the most sense. Especially because Key has been a stud in these playoffs. Makes me less nervous to move Lindgren.

I can't wait for Othmann to arrive btw.
