He maybe scores 30 goals a couple times over his career but MMW he is not ever going to be a Rocket Richard winner. I am not saying he isn't worthy of 2nd OVA in this draft cause he is but let's not pretend he has the same value as Michkov does next year. Quite simply you can't expect teams to brake the bank for Slafkovsky like they would for Bedard or Michkov.

For a guy who's ceiling is a top 6 power forward who maybe scores an average of 50-70 points a year and a floor of a 3rd line checker who puts up maybe 30-40 points a year. Yes that is a HUGE overpay. It does not matter that Guhle is at a position you don't need his value is still a mid 1st round pick. This equates to 2 1st + 2nd round value for a player who MIGHT end up with slightly more points than Anderson per year. How is that not ridiculous?! His NHLe for 2021-22 is 31 FFS, that is not even 2nd line potential.
