But then what if Petry's game falls off a cliff? He's 34 years old making 6.25 mil AAV. It could happen at any time. Then we'd be stuck with another Danny Dekeyser playing 6D for 3 more years.

It’s a definite possibility especially with his play style but I would only do this if we had a great offer for Hronek.

Personally I'd take Hronek who is 10 years younger over Petry all day long. Plus Petry only played half the season, does he even have another season left in him?

Even if Armias contract was ok….

Nashville passes for the following reasons

Armia isn’t a top 6 player
Armia doesn’t beat out Trenin or Jeannot for third line
Armia is too expensive for fourth line

Value is fine for Petry trade, just I doubt Detroit does it, because of the direction their going in

I want Armia to get better trade value before trading him, as I think he can eventually get a 2nd, but if we can get a 3rd, that'd be great! But I doubt any team would do it, armoa doesn't have the best value, but I agree, only trade him if we get at least a 3rd back,
