I tend to think CHI would decline that before BOS. Beecher might have had a nice start in Providence (I don't know truly.) and I'm not ever going to root against a kid. I just don't think that start is sustainable considering he wasn't really a huge part of his UofM team. His ceiling is likely a #3 shutdown C.

Why would the leafs spend so many assets to acquire an overpaid bottom 4 defender? Murphy is not a 4+ million dollar defenceman. He would be great at 2.5 or so but his new contract sucks. He's a marginal improvement over Holl for more than twice the price and a lot of term.

LMAO, you don't know what the hell your talking about. Murphy is easily worth that, and I wouldn't of been mad if the Hawks paid him 5-5.5 million. He's been the most consistent the blackhawks defensemen for years. Chicago rejects that deal Murphy is worth a 1st & a prospect without taking back a cap dump

Cool story, JFresh is hardly accurate. He's listed some 3rd liners as better than elite players.

Don't care, It's obvious you haven't watched Murphy or any hawks game, He's an amazing shutdown defensemen and is worth every penny he recieves.

I have, the team is terrible defensively and no one stands out. In a perfect.world Murphy is your #5 defenceman. He makes top pair money and isn't that on any good team.
