All I read was Tavares was a huge Toronto fan growing up and we want our home town guy and this and that. Now with another 1st round exit fans want to get rid of him. Wow how the tables have turned. He has a NMC in his contract and if all this stuff about him being a life long Leaf fan was does he wave his clause to go to Edmonton?

Well to be fair there are a lot of us that didn't like the contract when it was signed so it really has nothing to do with the first round exit, but thanks for bringing that up...jerk.😔

I am sorry, I just remember leading up to FA, many not all wanted Tavares to sign with Toronto. Did not think at the time it was a good signing. Also did not think they would give Marner 10+. Having 3 players all making over 10 million in the cap era is just bad math.

It just seems that Leaf fans are upset and have turned their anger to Tavares. He grew up in the GTA and was aLeaf fan, remember seeing as a kid, he had Leaf sheets. It is now soured, but as long as he has a NMC he controls his destiny. If he wants to leave he has his choice where, seeing on this site he is traded to Seattle, which is a joke. If and I say if he is traded he controls every step, and that hurts the Leafs.
