I would almost prefer to retain on Burns and not take Faksa back and hold up a spot in the lineup. Like the idea though

It’s a fair thought considering the effect is pretty much the same, but it’s possible Faksa could be moved later so I like the flexibility

Dallas has enough contracts that extend into a players late 30's. Not going to add another one, especially at full cost. Dallas' focus this offseason needs to be getting younger and faster. I like Burns and think he definitely still has stuff left in the tank, but that contract is not one that I'm willingly taking on if I'm Dallas, even if I'm able to shed Faksa's contract.
