Bjornfot, Wolanin, Phillips, Kirsanov, Nousiainen, Brickley. Don't get me wrong Johnson is better than most of those guys, But the Kings really need Bjornfot and Kirsanov (or a similar type player) to hit, they have a wealth of offense minded RDs but need solid stayt-at home type LDs to compliment them. They won't move away from most of these RDs until they get a long look or they can get an immediate upgrade at LD (like Chychrun).

Bottom-line, we aren't prospect swapping a first-year pro who was successful in taking on a much bigger role. .

I like the idea of a Grans for Johnson swap. Trades from a position of strength to fill in at a position of weakness, and provides additional incentive for Faber to sign in LA after he and Johnson finish up at Minnesota.

Those 2 could make a nice pair for years for LA

Johnson is not an offensive D-man. A pure 2-way one. Very good in transition which is what teams dream of for smaller sized defensemen

Hm, and Faber's partner. Truly I just really am reluctant to move Grans, but with Clarke, Spence and Durzi already in our pipeline it makes sense. Also for the Sabres Grans would be ready sooner. I'm a maybe, but I really like Grans.
