Is ANA really that far off from competing? I would think that a guy like Forsberg would be a nice big addition to help the process along.

Disagree on Forsberg, but agree on the rest.

At minimum I'd say they could compete for a wild card spot in 23-24...too many subtractions at the deadline (not that that's bad, Verbeek did a great job doing what had to be done) to immediately flip the script.

I'd be targetting someone young like Hague with an OS to fill the Lindholm spot long term, I'd absolutely sign Forsberg if the opportunity was there, but I can't imagine it will be, and I'd be going with a stop gap RD instead of something long term, since there's not much available. Probably add a short term cap dump or two to acquire a few more assets as well.

Next offseason? Replace Eakins and see what comes together.
