yeah, with trotz there’s no way. kid’ll be getting 8-9 minutes a night as a wing on the third line until he learns to be defensively responsible. same with heinola/samberg.

Not mad at the Nylander-Scheifele trades going around, but something's off about it - I just don't see Scheif in a Leafs sweater.

The thing that is off for me in the Scheifele-Nylander trades, aside from value is: if the Jets are trading Scheifele because of a me first attitude, what's the point of replacing him with a worse me first player?

What puts me off on a Scheifele/Nylander trade is that we get a way worse player, making 700K more. If Toronto wants to retain 1M and send a 1st, I would be ok to do it

The thing Toronto fans hate about Nylander the most is his lack of effort at particular times. I see the same problem happening with Scheifele. I wonder how this trade would even out in the wash if one player (Scheifele) wants out and one player is content with his situation. Would Toronto get a better deal for a guy wanting out?
