Description
I personally would NOT move on from JT. Hes still a point per game, our captain and overall a great guy. But lets see we moved him, how would his cap affect the team? Take a peak

Devils won't be the place. They have Hughes and Hischier already

Holl is not a cap dump, would easily be one of your best defensive D man on the team right away lol

Id give it a .0000001% chance Tavares gets traded. There's no way he wants to go, so I'd stop looking at that, and look at other solutions.

How many times do we need to say that RD is our strength, For that last time our RD is Seider, Hronek and Lindstrom we don't need a 30 year old justin Holl. Deal him elsewhere. Detroit has no use for him.

I find it laughable that Leafs fans seem to think that John Tavares will magically waive his NMC for any team in the NHL, Tavares is a Toronto kid and you're stuck with him until his contract expires like it or not. You just can't get rid of NMC this easily.

Holl is a less physical but also less hurt kevin miller. playing 4th RD or 6th RD. hes a 5 realistically. 2m for a 5 isnt awful. but you can easily replace that type of player. holl is the type of guy you would add at the deadline to bolster depth.

if trocheck is only getting 6m aav hes probably staying in carolina... Ide bet boston is in on him too and depending on bergeron might be able to throw some cash at him.

Lol. I'm not a Leafs fan, but the absolute trashing Holl gets is hilarious.

-RD.
-Over 20 minutes per game.
-Positive possession stats as defenceman who starts the majority of his shifts in the d-zone.
-$2 mil cap hit.

I get that a lot of you folks just love the big names that get spouted about on Sportscenter, but holyyyyyy moly it's funny. If anything, the Leafs should be trying to keep him.

We have no use for this player and have better options. Leafs can keep him

If we are going to spend that high of a pick, it would be on a #1 goalie or very specific type of forward
