IMPORTANT: the boeser trade and the gaudreau signing are unlikely, however, this is kind of like a personal opinion based best case scenario in terms of how the devils develop and transform into a serious team in just two years. also i assume no one important walks in fa which is pretty unrealistic. again, just having fun with this.

if prospects translate the way theyre projected to in the NHL, i dont see why the devils can't be a serious contender soon. gaudreau signing unlikely but given it's so hard to predict a team two years from now, i figured i may as well have fun building this team. if daws can develop into a good enough starter, this team could be a wagon.
