    Ottawa laughs at you

Fiala isn't taking a discount to play in Toronto, plus he out produced Nylander this season so I don't know why Mommy would add Dumba

Swap Knies for Ambruzzese and the Wild would probably consider.

Their all realistic returns besides the Sens trade, Formenton was good for them this year and they don’t need another washed goalie worth 4 million, otherwise I like the other 2

Leafs Don't trade Brodie and Ottawa doesn't trade Formenton imo (at least not for anything but a top 6 winger), and they certainly aren't in the market for an expensive bum goalie.

Sandin and Liljegren won't get close to that much on 2 year terms.

Gio will need more. Mikheyev will need more. Copp will probably get more.

Overall, it might balance out in terms of total cap for those 5, but just not the right numbers for each one.

Last thing the Rangers need is another Defenseman.
    Center is the higher priority.

Add to the fact that Muzzin's Cap hit and recent injury history aren't a good combo.

I'm fairly certain the Leafs don't want to trade Knies and certainly putting him and Nylander (why are we trading Nylander again) in the same trade would probably be a bad idea.

That being said, I think the Leafs and Wild are potential trade partners this year, considering the Wild are in a similar competitive spot to Toronto but have a ton of dead cap. A guy like Nylander might be very valuable to them since he outperforms his cap hit and would give them another great offensive winger. I could see the Leafs asking on Erikkson Ek, and although a 1 for 1 there probably doesn't make sense, there might be some talk. Not sure where it would go, but it's an interesting thought. I don't think Dumba is right for the Leafs TBH.

I could also see Minnesota wanting to use a third party with lots of cap space to retain some salary for them if they're bringing somebody in. Would cost but they probably need to do it in order to make any substantial improvements.

Not a chance is Minnesota trading Eriksson Ek. He's not going anywhere. Why would Minnesota trade a really good two way C like Eriksson Ek for a,Winger they don't need?

Never say never but everyone here in Minnesota would be shocked if the Wild traded Ek…even for a player like Nylander
