feel like he's probably bringing back a 3rd/4th if they move him. He obviously looked bad in this past series but to be fair, he wouldn't be the first defenseman that the Lightning have made look like an AHLer in the playoffs. I think he's fine being a sheltered 3rd pair on a contender, or being a middle pair guy on a young lottery team that wants a little veteran presence on their blueline.

Its obvious to me that you're overstating Holl's usefulness by a lot. He was a "sheltered 3rd pair guy" on a team that can't get past the first round, I don't see any contender picking him up for their 3rd pair. Especially since he's getting $2M per season and very few contenders would allocate that money to a weak 3rd pairing defenseman.
