    No thanks from the Sabres

Khudobin is old af & played terrible this season
    He’s clearly declined
Idk how you’re gonna get anyone to take him off your hands
    Maybe he retires?

Why buy out Suter? I don't think the Bear trade is bad but Suter was fine. keep Heiskanen on the right side and dont sign Schultz

Suter was and is trash. He did nothing good in that series and signing him was a mistake.

Luckily the buyout is relatively cheap.

Miro is better on his natural side.

If he performed well why would we pay to dump him?

This is a cap dump. BUF needs to add to their cap total as they're below the minimum. This is one way to do it.

    They've got nothing to lose.

But we will have other options to get to the floor-
    more favorable options

But let’s just say we did need to add to our Cap in this way to hit the floor….
Are u giving us anything more than say, the Leafs would give us to dump Mrazek?
Or any of the other dozen or so Cap dumps that are proposed on here every day?

And it’s not for sure we’d even have to make a move like this
There’s gonna be LTIR contracts to take, just like we did this year with Boychuck
Or we could even overpay a UFA goalie that we actually like

You’re only looking at this from a very narrow viewpoint

This is not bad, not too sure what will happen this offseason.

Only thing that needs to happen is to ditch the old way and get a new way. Firing Bones should be their number one priority.

Honestly I just picked a team of low cap to dump Dobby in. He's going to play in AHL regardless, man's not a NHL goalie anymore. They get a 3rd+prospect for their troubles.

Doesn't have to be BUF if it's that appalling thought.

Never said it was appalling, so u can stop being over dramatic at any time
The points i made apply to any team out there with Cap space
You’re gonna have to actually incentivize a team to take a bad contract off your hands
    Does a late-ish 3rd do it? I doubt it

It's only for one year. Ritchie dump cost around a third, and they got also a serviceable D-man for it. As far as I recall that has been the latest cap dump deal.

I don't see how it'd cost more than this. There's no comparison that'd suggest this.

More n more teams needing/wanting to dump bad contracts though
U really don’t think it’s possible other teams would pay more than later3rds to get rid of bad contracts?

Well then, back to you then. What do you think is a fair compensation for dumping Dobby? Personally I think 3rd+prospect is fine, but if you disagree with me, tell me what you would like.

    Everything's negotiable.

Car takes that and I think Dallas is fine with bc Bear is a good twd who I think can play a big role than he currently does
I agree with keep Suter, don’t touch Schultz in FA
Buffalo probably needs a 2nd and possibly a later rd pick as well to take khudobin, cap is the most valuable commodity in a tight cap league like the NHL.
I really like Palat's fit on DAL so I think that is a good signing

Maybe that does get it done
But I’d guess it would start with a 2nd or a better prospect

Like i said, you’ll be competing with other teams that wanna dump bad contracts too
And there’s only a few teams out there that’ll have the space to take them

There will be bidding war, who can cap dump anything on Sabres, and there will be plenty teams interested - Dallas, Toronto, Florida, Calgary, Vegas to start. I doubt 3rd pick would be enough to win, regardless who is being dumped.

I think the offer is fair but the Canes will probably pass. Guiranov doesn’t play a 2 way game. The Canes would rather move Bear for a pick that try to fit a square peg into a round hole

Dude, he's a young forward that can put up points when half the forward core is becoming UFA's and he's GOOD, plus he's acquirable for a spare part like Bear? Why would Carolina not do this? Even if he doesn't play a two way game, you can cope with that. He's still developing, he's Russian so can translate for Kochetkov, and he's a fantastoc skater.

Miro doesn’t care what side he’s on. Needs to be with Harley. Those two are amazing together. Lindell and Hakanpaa actually weren’t horrible together. Keep Shea and find a quality righty to play with him. Or do Shea-Hakanpaa and find an puck mover to play with Esa. I don’t see the Canes being interested in Guri. He’d struggle with their system just like he struggles with ours
