Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Garland is the cheaper option than Boeser and Vancouver may look to move him to make room for prospects that are NHL ready. I think both the Konecny and Schmidt trades are still realistic considering I already have done them before and both fan bases seemed fine with them. Barron had a great end to the season and was good with the Moose so I think him and Svetchnikov could compete with each other for the third line spot while Gustafsson can play a shutdown role with Lowry and Appleton on the fourth line.

Schmidt's contract is for too much and is too long for Detroit's rebuild. He's on the decline at 31 and adds little while blocking a spot for one of the many Wings LHD draft picks (2021 1st round, 2018 2nd round pick, 2020 2nd round pick, 2020 3rd round pick, 2021 2nd round pick).

This is probably the closets MS for TK trade I’ve seen, I think Philly might want top 10 protection but other than that this seems pretty fair

That said, I just don’t know if Philly wants another C, but if they end up lining up another move with Coots/Hayes then this could be fun

That seems like a pretty fair offer to me, although I would prefer to keep the 2023 first and instead make the third round pick a fifth. I’ll edit it and tell me if you think the prospect I pick could realistically be a part of the trade.

Detroit accepts.

Schmidt is good enough to QB our 2nd PP and mentor Seider. He's also young enough to have trade value when no longer needed, especially considering Detroit's ability to retain and the (slowly) rising cap.
