Description
Let McMichael and Lapierre rotate between 2C and 3C. Sign Forsberg, re-sign Johansson to keep the top 9 wing positions stable. Johansson played well with both Oshie and Mantha and can play center in dire situations, so he will be incredibly important to have while McMichael and Lapierre get it figured out. 22-23 will be a tough season with a lot of growing pains, but the team should be able to compete.

Adding Walker should help stabilize the defense a bit. Orlov and Jensen need to stay together. Carlson Fehervary was meh, but you can’t move Carlson’s contract right now.

Trading for Gibson could solve the goaltending issues for the next 5 seasons at least. He’s had to be the workhorse in Anaheim, but he shouldn’t have to start more than 55 games in a season, so he’ll be fresh for the playoffs. If Anaheim wants more for Gibson, I’d be willing to pay more.

Doesn’t have to be Carolina but maybe they want to add a 3C for one year if Trocheck walks. Can send Eller anywhere though!!

Canes have no need for any more C. Plus, they already accounted for the possibility of Trocheck leaving by bringing in KK then signing him long term. Plus, for the stunt Eller pulled against KK in the last meeting, the chance is even slimmer Canes consider making that trade for him.

This Gibson trade made me look twice but I don’t think I’d pull the trigger

I think thats pretty fair on gibson. sheary is a good cheap player who could get a second at the deadline, vanacek is good enough as a 1b, iorio is a second rounder whos stock has risen by a fair margin after the draft, plus a first and second is not bad. gibson has 5 years left at a ton of money, has a lot of mileage, and hasn't really been a top goalie in 3 years.

I mean that’s why I literally said we can send him anywhere.

I’d definitely be willing to pay a little bit more. What do you think the cost is?

I guess seeing numbers and blindsiding a player is a clean hit? Based on the situation of the result of game and with only a couple seconds left, it was intent to injure. And guess what, KK was injured, and yet Eller gets a measly fine.
