I don't know what the appetite is with Isles management to make a Barzal move, but I'd think a deal involving Miller would only work if extensions were already negotiated for both players. At that point the value is at least close to a 1-for-1 deal.

If the isles were to trade Barzal , it would either be for picks and prospects. Trading for Miller with extension wouldn’t make sense.

FWIW most rumors I have heard about Barzal having an issue were with Trotz, not management, so one would assume he's at a point where he has to be happier with his situation and more likely to stay. And if this were even a remote possibility of a trade, it would be Vancouver adding on - not the Islanders.
