It is a tempting trade for senators. Zub is the hardest piece to give up here imo. Huge fan favourite. Dorian would be wise to sign him to an extension this off-season.
Dumba and Fiala would fit nicely on Sens roster. But then we have a big hole for Zuuuuuuub!

As I said it’s wishful thinking on my part to add Zub to the trade, that being said, my thought process behind it was to get Sanderson a RHD that better fits his style of play and getting Brodin a RHD that better fits his style of play. I think it’s far more likely that Fiala for the 7th overall pick and Gustavsson ends up happening as opposed to the trade I proposed here.

This is what Ottawa needs (top LW and RD) and I would be happy if we got both Fiala and Dumba. Only way this works is if Ottawa sheds some salary first. They might try to get rid of White and Zaitsev, but that might be hard. We won't spend to the cap and we need to re-sign Norris too.

Also, I don't think Ottawa would want to get rid of Zub, he's our best RD right now lol (and a fan fav). Maybe the offer could be something like Brannstrom and our first (as a starting base)

Yup. Fiala for Gus and 7th OA. I would do that deal as a Sens fan.

Brannstrom doesn’t have much value to us, we are good on the left side of the defense and have arguably the best LHD prospect pool in the league. If a trade comes to fruition I gotta think it looks something like 7ovr pick and 1 of Gustavsson, Jarventie, Sokolov, Lodin, or Thomson.
