Reilly isn't the best option but if the others fall through I'll take this.

Reilly will get a 3rd. Isles most likely destination.

Studnicka is not being moved for a 6th, laughable.

Kadri contract is horrible. You fell for one of the classic blunders. The most famous of such is never get involved in a land war in Asia. But only slightly less well-known is this: never pay for a career year for a player over 30.

IDK what Boston fans you were talking to, but there isn't any sane poster that thought Studnicka would be the main piece in a JT Miller deal.

Mike Reilly or Grzelcyk to Detroit is the new Thomas Hickey equivalent trade offer from a year ago.

Honestly, how little do you expect him to get on the open market this off-season?

Studnicka would be more of a supporting piece in a Miller deal. If the Bruins wanted to just rent Miller, it would cost them their 2022 1st, Studnicka, and a mid round pick. If the Bruins were to trade for and extend Miller, it would cost them their 2022 1st, Fabian Lysell, and one or two minor pieces

No idea, I just want nothing to do with him. I'd be shocked if he comes close to putting up these kind of points again.

I’ll play the odds, they are on my side.

Nobody is going to make it worth trading Studnicka in a stand alone trade. Better off holding him than giving him away.

I think he's got at least one or two more 60-70 point seasons in him at least. There is no evidence that Kadri is being carried by Avs linemates

Kadri's in his 3 previous years played at a 50pt pace. You think at (what will be 32yr old) he magically figures something out and will increase his production by 20% to 40% for a few years? I just don't see it

Any skepticism for Kadri is totally understandable, I personally don't believe that if he regresses offensively next season, it won't be back down to a 50 point pace, but more like a 60-70 scoring pace. I genuinely think that the process of his game has changed, and that it's allowed him to be more successful, even at 32 yrs of age

Yup and if he isn't moved or lands a starting spot he'll be an extra forward.

Yes because they did the exact thing with him for parts of this season.

Could they move him? Sure. I really have no idea what role they have for him next year. He's blocked a 3C by Coyle and they won't throw him at 2C. Not sure they play him a 4C either as they usually like grinders on that line. Maybe they re-visit him at RW? I really don't know, but he's a guy they need to make a decision on. If he's part of the future play him instead of bouncing him between the NHL/AHL. If he's not then move him for a similar prospects at a different position or package him for something bigger.

Makes sense. I'm just very weary of how Sweeney will manage Studnicka because he's coming off his ELC, is no longer a legitimate NHL prospect, and becomes waivers eligible. I'm surprised there isn't more chatter about it
