Montreal isn't moving down for another 3rd rounder in a draft where we already have 3 3rds. If anything we likely package the Flames 1st with 33rd to try to move up a bit ourselves.

1. How high in the draft could you go if you packaged the Flames 1st with 33rd?


2. Which prospect would you be aiming for in that scenario?

Probably in the 10 range but we could add a prospect of Norlinder, Tuch, Struble value to maybe get us to 7th. Again I think that depends on what the Sens needs are and who they view as the best player at 7th.

Edit*** actually let me rethink that lol. 28th + 33 only gets you to maybe 20th range lol. I was over thinking it lol.

Devils should do this because Tom is likely to draft some random OHL plug who "plays the right way" with that pick anyway.

1. The Flames 1st is going to be 25th overall or lower because the Flames won the Pacific division.

Packaging it with 33rd would get you to around 15th at best.

After that, getting to our pick at 7th would require a little more effort than adding one of Norlinder/Tuch/Struble.



2. We need a goal scoring winger to play on the second line with Tim Stutzle.

That means the best player at 7th would be someone like Joakim Kemell.

At that point it would all depend who is left on the board
