Description

Swap of pending UFA's in 2023, plus other pieces. Both teams have the option to try to extend their new trade additions if they want (and can afford) to after acquisition.

MIN is all-in with this deal, saving on the cap while dramatically improving their forward group. Schenn adds cheap, solid depth defending for the year too.

VAN takes a hybrid return for Miller; immediate RHD help plus a later 1st (18-24 OA range) and their own 2nd that will add much needed prospects to the cupboard. I could see them wanting to extend Dumba beyond this season if the price is right. Jost also added to help maximize the cap savings for MIN; not sure if he really has much more NHL upside.

I'd gladly take this. Miller is one of my favorite non-Wild players, that guy has a winning mentality. Think the Canucks could get more for him though.

Im pretty sure vancouver would need to clean house once again after making a deal like that. Although billy G would no doubt be the best GM this year. Take a look at Dumba's numbers, he isn't worth more than a second at 50% retained.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been trying to gauge Dumba's trade value based on some of the other ACGM's on here, and they're all over the place. I'd be happy if MIN wanted to add more picks and prospects, haha.

At this point I'm not convinced he'll return much more than a 2nd round pick. But you never know, GM's heavily over value right shot defenseman (see the Risto trade) so maybe he'd return a late 1st. I think your modification looks better, and being the huge Miller stan that I am I would probably pull the trigger, although I'd much prefer that we move Greenway over Jost.

And yes, there's one Wild fan on here with multiple accounts that slanders every single trade involving Wild players (especially Dumba and Greenway trades), even if it's a stupid overpayment by the other team.

Edited the trade to add VAN's 2nd rounder and Jost coming back to the Canucks. Still probably not enough value, but it depends on how much you like Dumba.

Imo VAN should rebuild and trade Miller strictly for futures. They should've traded him last deadline in fact.
