Description

Giroux is possibility but not a given. If he doesn't sign, then sokolov most likely moves into the 3RW.
The dubois deal makes sense. Winnipeg may be retooling and there's speculation if Dubois wants to stay there long term. He's been a winger/center in the past, and played with Batherson in junior. With Stutzle playing center now, Dubois could help on faceoffs. Formenton could be a good player for winnipeg, who especially struggled with their PK. Formenton will 100% help with that. The 7th overall pick will be good addition for Winnipeg and their retool.

In theory the trade might make sense to Ottawa. But makes 0 sense to Winnipeg. Chevy came out and said he expects the jets to be a cap team once again. That means there’s no intent on rebuilding. All this talk about Dubois is just talk, the only hard evidence either way is Dubois talking about loving the city and some talk about making sure he does what’s best for him.

That's a deal if the Jets are rebuilding, which they aren't.

Dubois is highly likely to get signed and Scheifele will be the guy out. If Dubois ends up requesting a trade or something, a guy like Pinto would have to come back.

no. Ehlers is one of the guys they’re building around and is locked up for a while. the jets are still trying to contend so i don’t see them downgrading from ehlers to formenton unless they commit to a full rebuild, which they’ve confirmed won’t happen
