Thanks for doing a Devils AGM, overall a fun lineup!
Some thoughts tho:

I could live with giving those pieces up for Boeser, though I’d prefer Devils not doing it.

I don’t like the Preds trade for the Devils.
Myers doesn’t seem to be anything more than a 7th dman in the NHL, would much rather have one of Mukhammadulin, Bahl, Walsh or Okhtoiuk playing 3rd pair.
Don’t really know much about Knak other than that his counting stats doesn’t stand out and that Scott Wheeler doesn’t rate him among NSH top 20 prospects.
No reason to give up a very underrated winger in AJ and Kuokkanen who still has some runway to grow into a middle six forward for those two pieces imo.

I guess the value is fine-ish for DeBrincat and would be very fun to have him in the lineup. But I’d much prefer Devils keeping #2 and draft Cooley (or Wright if he slips), no reason to overthink it.

I like the Husso signing.
Bernier could be done at the pro level following his hip injury.

Yeah Johnsson and Kuokkanen are just for creating cap space, they should get something better in return for sure (just made it easy for me lol).

Well I would say it's 99% certain that Montréal will pick Wright, you could argue DeBrincat is a top-5 LW in the league and fairly young, Slafkovský or Cooley does not have that kind of ceiling. Why not get a proven top-5 ish LW in his prime right now instead...

I'd stear clear of Stillman for sure. Outside of Luke Hughes and Alexander Holtz, I don't think the Devils have any other high end or A-level prospects, let alone one's that are touchable. They think they can just slap any three younger assets together and expect to get Boeser or Garland

Kind of goes to show how desperate Devils fans are. Then we get Tom Fitzgerald coming out and saying the Devils are open to trading their 2022 1st before the Lottery tears of joy

Oh ok, got it. Yeah there’s gonna be some real competition for all those winger spots next season and I expect at least one of Zacha, Wood, Tatar, AJ or Kuokk to be traded come October.

There are a few reasons why I’d rather steer clear of trading for a big name winger.
First one is that I believe the current core needs to prove they can at least contend for a playoff spot standing on their own legs, moving that #2nd ova would be rushing it for a team that’s been planted in the basement since 2018.
Then there’s the fact that offense is currently the strongest area for the Devils, and with one more year of growth for that young core, I expect that to develop further. Meaning that AdB doesn’t actually fill a major need.
Between Cooley, Holtz and other prospects in the org I think there’s at least 50% chance one player will become just as good as AdB is today.
AdB needs an extension in 2023, likely to come in at 10m. That means that the Devils will run a risk of losing some other core player that offseason or the subsequent one given that current ELCs will expire.

Basically #2 ova + Mercer (for example) > AdB.

Sry if this got a bit tedious to read.

No, I get you completely, it's totally reasonable to suggest the overall defense and mainly goaltending should be the priorities considering the offensive skills already in the system... I think Holtz will be a very good top-6 scorer next season for instance.

Ehm ok? Davidson has made it clear Chicago is in a rebuild why wouldn’t they trade DeBrincat for a 2nd overall pick lol? Hawks will waste DeBrincats prime and get nothing for it lol.
