Description
Here’s another version of what a good Jets off-season would look like to me. I feel like a player the Jets management would be high on is Jarvis and adding more size to the defence with Pesce would also be a big priority even if it means getting rid of a top prospect and NHL ready player in Heinola. This way you can get rid of Schmidt’s contract and Schiefele, which it seems most Jet fans would prefer. I think adding Boeser would help balance out the lost points without Schiefele, I know Boeser had a rough year but I think that was mainly due to personal issues that have been going on for the past year. He seems like a great character and person to bring in to the locker room. This roster is definitely not one I would construct if Trotz becomes the coach as it still is very offence heavy but it probably fits a coach like Boudreau better, even though I don’t think he’ll be available. You could look for a forward like Mikheyev or Nichushkin in free agency instead of Boeser if the coach wanted a more defence first approach. Let me know what you guys think.

That's a quick decline from the Canes. They're giving up 2 very important pieces now and in the future.

I was literally just thinking about a Jarvis-Pesce trade for Scheif and some other minor pieces a couple hours ago. I think it would be great for the Jets but sadly I don’t think the Canes entertain an offer like that because Pesce is so crucial to their defense and Jarvis’s big time success thus far would make it hard for canes management to even think about trading him. It is a little frustrating to see guys that were picked after our perfetti pick like Jarvis and Lundell and Schneider having so much success But I’m still happy with the Perfetti pick

Carolina says no,, I think jarvis on his ELC is much more valuable to them than scheif. Not saying it’s accurate, but it’s probably how Carolina feels.

Yeah I’m happy with Perfetti as well and the Canes trade is quite far fetched. But I really don’t know who you could get for Schiefele that would have same impact as he has on the game offensively like Jarvis will eventually in a season or two. Unless they want to unload the current core of the team and commit to a quick rebuild I have no idea who they could go after. Any ideas?

Scheifele to the Canes needs to fade away. We’ve already run off skinner once, we aren’t bringing the center version of him.

I’ve always kinda circled back to the philly outline cuz I think it’s the most realistic value wise and also provorov has also made note that he would prefer a change in scenery. I think in a Scheif trade u would ideally want an upgrade on d but when u also trade him ur losing a forward so u would likely want a forward back (preferably a centre but that doesn’t work in this deal). I would go for a deal that would involve Scheif going to Philky for Provorov and Konecny. The Jets would probably need to add some pieces to even it out, maybe Heinola or a a second round pick or something. But tha all I have. Let’s also not kid ourselves that there are going to be some playoffs teams that lose in the first or second round that are going to be disappointed and might be interested in a Scheif piece to push them over the edge. As Elliott Friedman said, “the market is gonna be huge.”

No way Pesce is available. If Carolina wants a 2C they will just resign Trocheck

Do Jet fans literally sit around all day making Schmidt to Detroit for a 3rd proposals? Why do you think Steve Yzerman would be interested in paying for a mediocre defenseman making 6M per for the next 3 years? Like do you think just because they have cap space they're going to make bad trades for overpaid players?

I get the idea of trading him to Philly and even though I like Konecny and Proverov, I still don’t think it’s an ideal trade I would make. I wish the locker room issue weren’t real and just a rumour but with Schiefele’s comments it for sure sounds like something is rotten in that locker room rather it be Wheeler, Schiefele or both. One thing that is for sure is that if the Jets want to stay competitive they need keep Dubois and sign him long term or that trade (for Laine and Roslovic) will end up looking like a disaster.

1 thing for sure tho is that if the Jets don’t like what’s out there in terms of the Scheifele offers, they need to hold off on trading him. Scheif literally has no leverage unless he just doesn’t show up to camp which I highly doubt

Maybe if the Jets rly get creative they can pursue chychrun in a three way deal where Jets trade assets and Scheif to Arizona for Chychrun and schmaltz or smth then Arizona flips him to another team for assets

The reason these trades keep appearing is that 90% of Wing's fans think they're good for Detroit.

You're in a minority, a very small one.
