Theodore is someone I'd trade 7OA without hesitation. What I like about Fabbro as well is that he showed he can play with Josi and Ekholm.

My only concern is that our core might be getting antsy to win. Chabot's post-year interview was pretty blunt that they need NHL upgrades to compete next year. I don't want to tank again next year and have to deal with Chabot or one of our core players asking for a change. Unlikely, but losing isn't fun.

Yes, and NSH doesn't have the prospect depth to replace him right now. Even if the Preds were to blow up the roster, I don't see Fabbro getting moved. Aside from that issue, I don't like the proposal for NSH because I feel Evangelista is considerably better than Järventie, and I'm not wowed by the prospects that could be available at #7 in this year's draft. It was an interesting proposal though.

Evangelista certainly had a breakout season. I think people really undervalue other team's defence in ACGM (shocker I know), but Fabbro/Carrier did some good work for Nashville this year to compliment the play of Josi and Ekholm. RHD are such a premium in the NHL.

If I'm Ottawa, I keep 7OA in the highly unlikely scenario that Nemec/Jiricek are available. Otherwise I'd consider shipping it.

Yes, like I said above NSH doesn't have the depth to replace Fabbro at the moment, and I don't love the prospects in the 7OA range enough to move him.

NSH is giving up the better prospect here too, so that part of the proposal doesn't help.
