Description
Title is self explanitory, would a trade up in the draft make sense for the Ducks, and what would it cost
Transactions
1.
ANA
Lets use the Wings trading up for Cossa as an example of cost to move up

Obviously wont be a perfect match since the move the Ducks would be making would be into (I would assume) the top 6
    CBJ
The Wings acquired pick 15 in 2021 (Sebastian Cossa)
The Stars Acquire picks 23, 48 and 138 (A first 8 picks back, a mid second and an early fifth)
      2.
      ANA
      1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (CHI)
      Détails additionnels:
      6OA
      CBJ
      1. Steel, Sam
      2. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (ANA)
      3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2023 (BOS)
      Détails additionnels:
10OA, Higher of the two BOS/COL 2nd rounders, or the PIT second in the 2022 draft
      3.
      ANA
      CBJ
Would it be possible without the Ducks second or the Bruins first?

Wouldn't be a bad idea, it all depends on the draft order up to that point. Doubt CBJ does this, probably needs a bit more.

Oh 100%, im not confident this gets it done either, just trying to gauge the value of moving from 10 to 6 if one of the RD fall out of the top 5

I'm guessing we're banking on Jiricek Sznnnnn starting early!

That being said, I'd imagine Columbus are in the same boat, since they have the same hole (unless there's a Cool-boy is still there...)

So Columbus also probably wants Juricik so does trading back really help them? I could see someone like Arizona or Philadelphia trading back to get more picks as they are starting a rebuild, but Columbus isn’t they are “retooling” and need top end talent vs extra draft selections.

Probably not enough enticement to get cbj to move back. We need centers and right shot defenseman and we’re guaranteed one of those at 6. At 10 it’s much less. And the quality wouldn’t be the same either.

Yeah I didnt take a close enough look at CBJ draft needs before I made this haha, You guys definitely scoop Jiricek up if hes there imo. PHI seems like the most likely trade down spot then

Agreed. I think we should just go best available player at 10OA (I'd kill for Jiricek, but so be it...), where hopefully Letterimaki is available. Boston pick could be packaged with other assets to go big game hunting (Chychrun?), or, I'm still banging the "Offer sheet Hague!!!" drum with our 2023 2nd.

I was initially skeptical of Lekkerimäki to the Ducks because of the amount of good young goal scorers they have (Terry, McTavish, Perreault, Pastujov (+Comtois)) and I was unsure how a Top 9 with that many goal scorers would work. I also feared there wouldn't be enough quality puck distributors. But I thought about it and Terry is a great playmaker too (this definitely got overshadowed this season), McTavish isn't really a pure goal scorer, he can do almost everything.

Yeah, I personally think it's the better of the potential fits with who might be available there. That being said, for as often as I see Savoie near the top, it wouldn't be the biggest surprise to me if he ended up dropping a bit due to his size (Caufield was similar) which would make me ohhhhh so happy.

Edit: I also think Comer is pushed to play a more "Todd Bertuzzi" type game next year...banging and crashing power forward type game, where he *hopefully* fills the Grant role on Z's line.

I'd love a Top 9 similar to this:
        Pastujov-Zegras-Terry
        ???-McTavish-Lekkerimäki
        ???-Lundeström/???-Perreault

Not sure who I'd out at 2LW. Either Milano, Comtois, Tracey or someone not yet on the team. I project the first 3 to be Middle 6 players in the long run so I optimally someone else plays there. Maybe Yager (2023 Draft) but he's a Goal scorer too. Another LW in 2023 would be Musty. I could also see McTavish moving to Wing if the Ducks draft a C high next year (like Carlsson, Dvorsky or Ritchie).

I'm heavy on the Hague train tears of joy

I wouldn't be opposed to Kakko...guy just needs to shoot the puck more often.
