Lets Extend the Rebuild

Créé par: rednwhite
Équipe: 2022-23 Red Wings de Detroit

Description
Might be one of the worst teams in the league next year with this roster. Lets tank and go for a shot at Bedard. No idea if those trades are anywhere close. Detroit probably needs to add on both.

Bertuzzi would miss almost all to road games if he played in Ottawa. Send him to Texas

I would imagine the COVID restrictions are dropped for next season.

Purposely tanking is a fool's game. Even stud prospects aren't a guarantee. Rebuild the right way and be patient.

The picks are for this years draft.... Apparently Ottawa is already shopping their 1st rounder and are looking for NHL ready talent.

Whoever we grabbed with the two 1sts would fit better into the rebuild window then the players being traded out.

Isles would pass - they're set at RD so Hronek doesn't fit in their lineup. Neither does Suter, since they also have 13 forwards already under contract for next year and he would just add to that logjam. McIsaac is interesting as a left-shot D, which they need, but I wouldn't consider him the centerpiece of this deal.

To be honest, I have no idea what the Islanders needs are. I was just looking for a team with a mid range 1st round pick. Any team could have been a placeholder.
