Crazy Tank for Bedard Hopefully KD doesnt mess up

Équipe: 2022-23 Blackhawks de Chicago
Date de création initiale: 11 mai 2022
Publié: 11 mai 2022
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
The Hawks are in full rebuild and they are going for Bedard.

It Hurts to trade Strome, but if we want to get ourselves ahead of teams like Arizona for the tank, then we must trade him and Murphy.

Playing te Young guys is also a must and will progress the rebuild. Even though players are on this roster it doesn't mean they'll play a ton of games, as guys like Galvas and Arvidson will be moving up and down the AHL and NHL

It'll be a painful year, but it'll be worth it if we are able to get Bedard, Michkov, or Fantilli. Preferably Bedard.

I think Kane is probably a goner too and maybe Debrincat if we believe the rumours

Even if the a team is in last place, they still has only a 25% of winning the first overall due to the lottery with a 55% chance of picking #3. Thus, tanking in effort to assume the first overall under the current model is a fool's errand.

Whether the Hawks trade Strome, Murphy, Toews, etc. the team will be picking in the top 8 or so spots. Selling strome specifically, doesn't make a lot of sense versus signing him and having flexibility to trade him at the deadline

Yes, this is true and I do agree, however, not for the 2023 draft year. If the hawks were going into a draft like the 2022 draft, I wouldn't tank this hard and sell Strome. However, The 2023 draft is a super deep draft so we are almost guaranteed a good player in the top 5. Fantilli will most likely go 3rd in 2023. If he were in the 2022 draft, then he would go 1st over Wright. I strongly believe that this team is bad enough to get a top 3 pick.

I think that since I traded Toews, then Kane will stay since he over the years has done a great job at developing prospects into great players and he would sell a lot of tickets. Management really wants him here and so do that fans. If an offer came for Kane, then I wouldn't sell short at all. Also, I don't think Debrincat will get traded since he's pretty much the centerpiece of our rebuild. You don't wanna trade a young 40-goal scorer in the middle of a rebuild.

Not the type of trade Ottawa needs to make

I don't know about Strome efficiency on the Wing but since he's not a great skater, not the type Sens will be (or should be) looking for to play on Stutzle's wing

The Center line in Ottawa is set, and could be for a long time : Stutzle - Norris - Pinto - Kastelic

Colin White will either be traded or bought out as a result

Yeah, I don't like strome on the wing. I guess I would do Boston instead of Ottawa?

Leafs trade just doesn't make sense, we no longer have a need for RHD with the rise of Liljegren and Holl stabilizing, and Topi Niemela on the rise there just isn't a need, especially at that cost.

That's a fair trade for a top 4 RD in an expensive market rn. Liljegren is good, but Holl is not good and should be upgraded for Murphy at a cheap salary for a top 4 RD. Niemela also is a rookie and won't go straight to the NHL. Niemela can also be 7d man and bounce in and out of the line up.

Brodie, Liljegren, and one of Holl or Lyubushkin will be our RD's next season. I am not saying that the value is wrong, RD just won't be the position we trade a first rounder for, especially in the 2023 draft. That will likely be saved for a goalie, depending on what happens with Soupy, or a forward.

Leafs trade doesn't make much sense cap wise. They need to drop money this offseason, taking on a 4.4 mil cap hit without money going the other way makes this very unlikely to happen. Part of the cost would probably be taking on Mrazek and his contract back to make the cap work.

I don't disagree with what you're saying here, but simply with the title of your AGM.
