I know contract situations but Konecny has 3 years left vs 1 year for Dumba

I don't know but I would rather go the UFA way for Claude Giroux, Mason Marchment or David Perron

If these options are not possible, then trade for a Kevin Fiala or someone like that

My thought was why is Konecny getting way more than Fiala in most people's proposals? We can't even get an unprotected 1st for Fiala who I think has shown to be a way better player than Konecny over the past few years.
