Description
If Scheif has to go let’s finally get the top pair rd we’ve been missing for three years. Obviously Ellis has to be 100% for training camp, but there seemed to be a disconnect in Philly. I’d switch out Dillon for Schmidty but one of them has to go to make room for Samberg/Heinola. Konecny had another down year and could use a change of scenery. Throw Perfetti into a situation where he can succeed rather than baby him like we’ve done with Heinola. It kills me to see how well his draft class is doing while he hasn’t made an impact yet (Lundell, Rossi, Mercer, etc.)

Ellis is not a number one d man. Provorov on the other hand is and he can also play his offside. So he can play top pairing with JMo.

This is an intriguing Trade…

I don’t know if Philly really wants to push coots, Hayes, and Laughton back down to 2-4, and I kinda feel depending on the health of Ellis one team will fleece the other, but it just makes sense lol

I can't see Winnipeg having any interest in moving Scheifele for a breaking down defenseman with a bad contract and an okay winger.

Big risks for sure. They would immediately have the C depth to compete with the best in the league tho

Nah, provorov has been in trade talks before and he has also been rumoured to be wanting out in philly. Sounds like he might be frustrated with their lack of success or he just feels he needs a change of scenery
