Zacha isn’t a cap dump, especially since he doesn’t have a contract. He was our leading scorer last year (~0.7 ppg) and was still solid 3rd liner this year (~0.5 ppg). He will be $2.5-3m per year.

Johnsson isn’t a dump either to a team that is agnostic to cap but mindful of salary expense. If traded after July 13th, he makes league minimum.

Bernier would require some salary coming back. But he likely spends most or all of year on LTIR.

As a prospect guy, I have concerns with both Foote and Holtz. I'm sure they'll (especially Holtz) be good NHLers in time though. Fair for the other two, you could probably reverse the PIT trade and rotate Okhotiuk, Bahl, and Walsh between the last d spot

This is gonna be a hot take but I think bura at 5 or 6 years at 6 - 6.5M is a better deal than forsberg at 7 years at 9.5 - 10m

Foote’s skating probably limits him to 3rd line, with probably a role on PP. But he has a nasty release, plays a physical game, and could make a nice depth piece for us.

I don’t know what in Holtz’s game concerns you, but he has played very well in AHL this year. Only reason we didn’t see more of him on Devils was to preserve his ELC slide (cap 9 games).

Okhotiuk probably starts year ahead of Bahl in depth chart (they could start as 3rd pair).

I don’t love the lines but I like most of the moves. I wouldn’t get kulak or Petterson but all the other moves are great
