Selling low because I don't think Anaheim would want to deplete their prospect pool but I think Nylander could have a great career in a quieter market.

Dubas is too stubborn to bring back Marchment. That'd mean he admits the Leafs gave up on him too early.

Pretty stupid excuse to trade nylander. He is having a great career in a very loud market.

Rebuilding teams in this team the Ducks trade a high lottery pick for two years of Nylander. Buffalo or any team wants Mrzarek

It’s stupid to “sell low” on him just for draft picks - that does nothing. Leafs aren’t looking to rebuild and don’t need to move him just for cap. If he’s moved (which I think is the right idea this off-season) it’s gotta be for a bonafide top 4 right handed defenceman or a quality goalie. Gibson from Anaheim could fit that, but I think that’s a major deal that would have multiple parts to it

1. Selling Nylander is a bad move before even justifying selling him low.
2. Mrazek being traded is a tough sell, given how there a number of decent goaltenders in UFA this offseason. I think a buyout is the most likely end to his tenure.
3. Marchment is overrated, the UFA focuses should be first Campbell (which you've done) and second Mikheyev. Sandin, Liljegren and Engvall should be prioritized next.
4. I don't think Gio is coming back, he's too good to be a 7th D right now which means you'd have to move Sandin over, which puts Lyub or Holl off of the team.

I would have thought the package for Nylander would have been better. I imagine of the big 4 he's the easiest to move.
Why on earth would Edmonton trade for Holl? All of their RD are better than Holl and have term on deals.

Leafs aren't in need of any Dmen. We could stand to lose one or two. Goaltending upgrade is never a bad idea for just about any team. But moving nylander for a goalie is such a bad idea. Too much voodoo.

I was all but certain Muzzin would be on the move this offseason. If he keeps up his decent play and stays healthy he may be sticking around.

Leafs absolutely need a defenceman. Someone to play with Rielly long term. Then second pair can be Sandin and Brodie and third pair Muzzin and Liljegren. That’s a hell of a defence core then.

Personally, I’d love Matt Roy to pair with Rielly (it’d be Roy + for Nylander) but the fit is there - add in a younger player to replace Nylander and a pick and I think it fits both teams nicely

That persons name is liljegren. I like Roy but this team doesn't need anymore Dmen. We have been sitting nhl Dmen most of the season.

That person’s name is not Liljegren. Have you seen him play with Rielly? They’re awful together. They’re both guys that need to be the primary puck mover and struggle when it comes to one on one battles.. you can’t have 2 of those on the same pair. Liljegren will be a fine top 4 option, but on a second pair and not beside Rielly. That pair would be eaten alive defensively. Splitting them up was the exact reason Toronto got Lyubushkin to play with Rielly (stay at home guy who isn’t a primary puck mover) and Giordano to play with Liljegren (defensive first kind of guy).

Liljegren is not a future top pairing guy and is not defensively responsible enough to play with Rielly.

That's a lot of wrong. Lilly is a very good puck mover though. Great defensively as well. He and Rielly have the best metrics together of all leafs pairs.
