2c would ruin his development imo. he's unlikely to be a 2c already.
Why would it ruin his development? It'll show him to work hard against tougher competition. On 3rd line, he wouldn't have as much defensive responsibility, and he'll be all offence, and when he should be 2c, he will only know to play offense, and that wouldn't even work, because he'd play against tougher to score against defenseman, whereas for 3rd line he doesn't play tough competition and he can just slack off

playing 2c is likely more than he's capable over already. 3c lets him figure stuff out without being overwhelmed.
And he figures out how to play against weak opponents, it's the kk situation all over again

i think 2c is probably over his head which means he's going to struggle nd probably not learn a lot. i think you're better off just playing dvorak at 2c again.
