Caps have no need to do that. Hagelin will likely be on LTIR to start the year, may not ever play again as eye injuries like his are difficult for other NHL players to recover from, and would not cost that much to dump. If they needed to dump him, it would be for a low round pick, not this.

Could definitely see something with Chytil and either Suter with retention or Veleno. Think czechmates could bring out best in chytil, and Rangers could use a less expensive 3rd line center assuming they bring back Copp or Strome for 2nd line.

Big NO to the first trade. We have so many talented left D coming and we are not getting rid of Cossa in that type of a trade, if at all. Don't want to use our 3rd in the second trade, substitute Smith, Stevens or similar.
