Honestly if you want Nicolas Roy, just offer sheet him at $4.1M and he'll cost you two 2nd rounders - I would seriously doubt Vegas would match, considering that they are going to be hard up against the cap. I don't think the value here is terrible but you keep more chips in your corner just doing an offer sheet (sure you lose out on Korczak but he's not a high upside prospect.)
Arizona might think about trying to acquire Weber but Dvorak is a guy they already moved on from once - I don't see them bringing him back. Besides, his contract doesn't match their type - it's backloaded a bit so he actually costs more in salary paid out than his cap hit over the rest of his deal.
I honestly don't know why Anaheim would trade anything for 2 years of a declining Mike Hoffman at $4.5M, much less a 3rd round pick. He doesn't fit their timeline at this point - you might be able to get him unloaded on a contender with some retention, but not a rebuilding/retooling team. If you want to reunite the Guhle brothers, I'm sure you can just throw the Ducks something from the back end of your roster - if they even keep his RFA rights after this season.
Petry to Buffalo doesn't make any sense. First off, Petry's probably got the Sabres on his NTC. On top of that, you're asking for one of their top prospects for the age 35-37 seasons of a guy at a position that they don't need to put a ton of assets into upgrading. It's hard to ascribe any value to Mailloux because he's become such a question mark - he's 19 years old and has only played 16 OHL games to this point. Hard to get any sort of gauge on what he's going to be, so I can't see him adding much to the trade. The pick swaps are nice for Buffalo but I don' t think it makes up for trading their top wing prospect for an aging vet that doesn't fit their rebuild timeline (they're still probably 2 years away from contending seriously.)
