Interesting thing about this contract, Day's minors salary is $200k - a raise from the $100k he made this season. That's almost in line with the $250k Claesson made this season. As I've mentioned to some before, I think it's a very real possibility Day is our 4LD next season.

Look, this team has come back from 2-0 before. But they're being so thoroughly outplayed right now (especially on defense) that it's getting increasingly difficult to see them coming back unless they manage to seriously overhaul their play in their own zone. Stop committing turnovers. Stop taking penalties. Start playing a more tight-edged, hard-nosed D-minded game, and focus primarily on shutting down the Avs' offense. They have enough firepower to beat Kuemper once they start cleaning things up defensively. It's doable.

I've felt this too. Last year he was our best D-man by a mile and this year he's making all the mistakes everyone else typically makes.

I wonder if Cooper decides to make any lineup changes. As bad as, say McDonagh, or any of the other big names have played I don't see them coming out. I don't think it would be a bad idea to replace Colton, Maroon, or Rutta

Nash wasn't bad in the NYR series but I think Colton and Maroon both need to stay in the lineup. Maybe Foote for Rutta or Bogosian but not sure

I'd love to get Nash back into the lineup, but I'm not sure who we'd even think about taking out.

I think Foote coming back is the most likely change. I think Colton needs a little kick (like sitting out a game or 2), but you're right there's not really anyone to put in for him. And I wasn't suggesting taking all 3 out
