That Nylander trade is pretty low. Vilardi is a question mark as of rn, Walker would be the 8/9th best d man on the Leafs as of right now most likely; the Leafs have a lot of blue line depth rn with a ton of guys capable of top 4 mins, if they want a d man they’re gonna go all in on a big d man. A Nylander trade would definitely have to involve a top quality piece and then some. Maybe a deal starting with Turcotte, but the fact he hasn’t made the league full time yet is very concerning and the Leafs might take an offer elsewhere for a proven young guy if they do move Nylander (ex. A deal around Tomasino from Nashville)

LA won't trade away Bjornfot. They need more LHD, not just an upgrade. I'm not convinced Sanheim is much of an upgrade to Bjornfot anyway.

What is your concern? Sanheim is really, really, really good. TB has shown very little. In terms of impact you hope TB becomes as good as TS. Especially for the cost here you should 100% do it because it helps you and honestly looks really light value wise.


Also OP, not even remotely close on Nylander. Your offer starts with Kaliyev and goes up significantly from there. Byfield would also be acceptable and hold more value than AK

In the TOR deal, replace Vilardi with Turcotte and you are closer to value.
Walkers value is also hurt by his season long injury (torn ACL AND MCL - which is a pretty nasty injury)

Walker being the main piece in a Nylander trade should already be a no.

The Leafs aren’t rebuilding. A Willy to LA deal would have to involve one of Iafallo or Kempe, at the minimum, and then some. Something like Iafallo, Turcotte, 1st.

Bjornfot just turned 21 years old. He was thrown in over his head way too early, and it was detrimental to his development path. He's still going to turn into a top quality defenseman and the Kings would be making a mistake by getting rid of him, especially if it's for a guy who is going to be a UFA next summer.

I wouldn't mind picking up Sanheim, but not if the asking price includes either of Mikey Anderson or Toby Bjornfot in return.
