I would have concerns about that third line, basically we don't have a great two way center, so whoever gets olofsson probably gets asplund too. I see Krebs busting it both ways, but from what I hear, his advanced stats don't show him to be a solid defensive asset yet.

Garland should have been a Sabre a few years back. Something was up at the TDL with Buffalo and Vancouver. Ran out of time. Boeser is a tricky one I like him but his contract is a concern.

If Johnson doesn't sign here I don't see him signing with Winnipeg either...he's a Cali kid and I think you have to look at the west coast teams to trade his rights.

He can play both sides very well Johnson. I think he goes to the Kings, his Father is there developmental coach.

I like Mitts and think he'll have a solid season in 2022-23 with at least 15-20 goals and 30ish assists, dependent upon where he slots in lineup, pp time and, of course, health (although I do think he hasn't had the best of luck with the latter with some of that bad luck maybe attributable to a prior lack of commitment to proper training.) His problem right now, imo, is confidence in himself and his shot, which is deadly.

The Nathan Smith situation has soured me a bit, and I wouldn't want to trade Demelo for a 3rd when he has outplayed that cost which we paid for him (a third to Ottawa) and for a guy who isn't signed and can easily go somewhere else if the trade were to happen.

You'd have to get a RSD somewhere else cause the Jets are in the same situation as Buffalo; too many LSD, and not enough RSD.
