Not bad - but I question:
1. Will the Sabres want to bring in a 35-year old Braun for the 3rd pairing? Seems they'd stick to a little younger, more physical option - if they aren't already infatuated with Fitzgerald in that role. I'd rather see them trade the rights to Ruotsalainen (who doesn't seem to have a role in Granato's eyes and is rumored to be considering signing in Europe if he doesn't get an NHL job) with a draft pick to Hawks for Murphy, who at age 29 and someone with physicality and history under Granato, seems a better option. His cap hit is only $900K more than what you'd sign Braun for. Hawks will try to dump him in rebuild - only question is if Murphy's recovered from the concussion.
2. Although I agree with dealing Mittelstadt instead of forcing Krebs to stay on wing, it doesn't sound like Sabres management wants to give up on Mittelstadt. If they were, I'd think they'd want more than Poehling and a pick or that they'd see the ultimate return of Roy as an upgrade over Mittelstadt.
3. Love the move for Kuemper but unless he flops in the playoffs and Avs decide to let him go, I can't see him hitting the market.

1. Fitzgerald's numbers are not great but hes still young, between he Laaksonen and im guessing the Sabres go with RD in this draft, one of those will be NHL ready in 2 years. Whom ever the Sabres go with this offseason will be a stop gap, experience is a plus, especially with NYR going to the playoffs. The general consensus is Murphy will be a bit pricey, i dont know if id give up a 1st for him with his conky issues. Theres less complicated solutions in UFA and they only cost cash.
2. I think Roy is a leap over Mittelstadt and i think he'll fit fantastically next to Cozens, or they can use him at center as well. Sabres top 9 is well balanced shift-wise
3. Hes not signed yet, Colorado couldnt match an offer like that. Theres other possibilities, but offering him a truck load of money takes care of 2 issues
