If you honestly want to tank for bedard you have to trade Demko. It will be very hard to finish bottom 5 with him in net

Haha good point. He'll get a light year. See if Martin can actually hold up or if his three games and solid AHL season were legit. Plus if Schenn is moved, I'm not sure Demko can even manage that.

Think about this, the only real impact players you traded away were miller and garland. Let’s say Miller and garland combined are worth 10 wins! (Their not, maybe closer to 5 wins, but just for demonstration purposes we will pretend their worth 10). If you take away 10 wins (20 points) from this years Canucks teams, they are 7th last in the league, just behind Ottawa but ahead of Chicago. If you only take away 5 wins, then they would be 21st in the league, not even bottom 10!

If you’re going to tank you should go full tank otherwise you could throw away an entire year on getting the 12th overall pick and a handful of A- prospects while losing two of your top forwards

Miller single handedly carried this team at times this year. Really almost until closer to the end of the year and then Petey took off. I think the team above would be pretty bad. It wouldn't be too much different from the 2021 team who was awful.

Garland probably has lesser impact being traded as he doesn't play special teams.

The disparity in the league from top half to bottom half creates that gap of a 5 wins making little difference. I think Miller is worth 5+ wins alone.

Don't get me wrong, I don't believe they'd be the worst team with these moves. So they'd need lottery balls to land. But this team without Miller loses a lot of offense. Can Petey keep up PPG+ pace? Can Bo score 30+ again?

Even if they do, who replaces Miller's production? Miller assisted a ton of PP goals for Bo and ev goals for Petey.

If Schenn is moved as well, Demko might be on LTIR from getting obliterated from shots on net.

Maybe you also have to move Boeser and then you ask truly where the offense would come from and bottom 5 here we come.

I don't disagree. I'm torn on both. I think Boeser at 6.25 and under long term is worth it I worry that Garland doesn't get any special teams time though that could change if Miller were moved. But I believe Boeser is the better player.

Lol you’re such a joke. You complain about EVERYTHING. The Canucks should not do this deal because 1) Kakko sucks, he’s a bust, 2) Lundkvist is just mediocre producing mediocre numbers in the AHL 3) your 2023 first isn’t something super precious either. You’ll see any trade made to New York and complain. Your counter offer just shows how immature and whiny you are. This trade is not unreasonable for New York in the slightest

He’s a troll. He’s cried about every single JT Miller trade. You could make an ACGM sending Miller to New York for free and he will still find a reason to complain

Lol your counterpoint was way worse. That's obvious.

Rangers wouldn't pass that up. Lundkvist won't crack their top 4/5 RHD. Kakko is young and has potential but Miller is ppg and can play anywhere. Laf and Miller can round out the top 6 or even elevate the third line significantly with Laf.

Can't blame you for liking your team's talent but it's a good deal for NYR no matter how you try and spin it.

Oh yes you caught me! I’m soooooooop jealous of your team. Man I totally wish we had a 2nd overall pick who has less points than Loui Eriksson this season. I just love busts! I’m also so jealous of your 4RD on your team. I wish the Canucks had somebody of his mediocrity on the team. Lol keep whining I guess

You're 100% wrong. 1 year of JT Miller isn;t worth giving up Kakko and Lundqvist. Only a short sighted fool would make that trade. If JT is so good....SIGN HIM.

Relevancy is extremely difficult for them, because every Rangers prospect is the second coming of Gretzky or Bobby Orr, and how dare you even *think* of besmirching their honor by trying to create a fake trade for them???!?!?! Nevermind that Nils Lundkvist is never going to crack the lineup ahead of Fox/Trouba/Schneider, so he's just going to turn into a pumpkin in Hartford. Nevermind that Kakko has less points in his 3-year career than JTM has -assists- this season. And god forbid you give up that 2023 1st, which will probably be in the late 20s once you add JT Miller to that offense. And seriously, how dare you insult him by only retaining 50% on that Miller contract!!!!
